We Can Do It

Posted by on Jan 7, 2013 in Blog | 0 comments

Welcome to 2013! If any of y’all have walked into a gym in the last week you will see the swarm of new gym rats taking over. Don’t fret more than half will be gone by February. But not YOU! You are here and ready to get grooving. That’s what I like to hear. One of my favorite activities is helping my friends get active again. It takes one person to help influence you into a healthy attitude with healthier choices. Today I want to share a quick workout for my girls. Using your time wisely at the gym is key this month. Make it worthy and put in the right energy to get the most...

2013 Phase 1

Posted by on Jan 3, 2013 in Blog | 1 comment

Hi Friends! Welcome to the New Year! 2013 will be my year… I’m hoping I think it all starts with a positive fresh start. I’m working on a new workout plan. Mind, Body, and Soul. Helping in a trial 90 day program for an awesome gym in Orange County called Stark Training. This program will be my refresher. Taking time to meditate a day and writing a Grateful Journal at night. Every year is a chance to reload and restart what you want for yourself. This year I want it all. I am currently on the job hunt and ready to put myself first. I can only find the best if I feel the...

#Hashtags?

Welcome to the world of information. I laugh when old people start a story with “When I was a kid…” or “During my time we..”, but maybe they have it right. Are we overly interconnected and interactive with our television sets? Any show you turn on now you instantly see a pop up of the hashtag for the show (currently my choices are #ncis #faceoffsyfy #onceabc #abcfbunheads). “When I was a kid” you heard the three dongs and a peacock flash in the bottom left. There was a tie to the station and to network. Seems the big guys are falling harder and...

Foodies Unite

How can you go out to eat and expand your palate but also stay true to the items you like? My mom is a true believer in comfort and finding that in the same recipe over and over at restaurants. Well I promised myself more options moving out here to California. I have a great group of foodie friends and that is the only way to let your taste buds grow. Somehow I have found my own little gem in all this. I have become an ordering wizard. Laugh as you may, it is true I can guarantee I order the right flavor or option every time I go out. My old position allowed me to coordinate all the office...

Olympic Media Blitz

NBC prepped us for all the Olympic hype and got us eagerly anticipating the media coverage. Well now what? Why are we aware of the outcomes before they air? NBC has suffered a severe backlash with the coverage of the 30th Olympic Games. I hate having to record 9 hours of footage to blink my way through for that one hour worthy of being historical. The media has been overly accessed during these Olympic Games. Even one of the athletes admitted her losing that Gold medal came down to the fact that she focused too much on twitter and facebook the night before the competition. There is obvious...

Boredom Initiative

Well my O my! It has been way too long since I’ve shared some words with my friends. I am currently sitting shot gun on my couch, recovering from surgery. I may feel like an 80 year old grandparent some moments and my mind might doze off like a 5 year old ready for nap, but my intentions are all good. I am feeling even more motivated than ever to discover. I am reading more articles, researching companies, and discovering way too much online shopping ideas. Might as well put my boredom to good use. There is nothing wrong with catching up on an iconic 90′s popcom (pop sitcom) such...
